Use Your Head Wear your helmet, do not be an idiot.
There are certain to be those who will debate this
I am not one of them. If you don't wear your helmet,
you are not to smart and it may kill you. Here is my story.
It was a warm afternoon, and I was enjoying the heat
beside the Rideau Canal in Ottawa Ont. the Capital city
of Canada, little did I know that 3000 miles away my best
friend Roy died. He was riding a bike that he couldn't handle
wearing a helmet so old that on impact shattered lodging
pieces in his brain. He lived for a couple of days but
never woke up. Many of us involved in biking have similar
stories to tell of friends who are gone to young. I agree
helmets would not have saved them all ,but surely some of them
would be here today. Lessons from these accidents have to be
learned or they died in vain . In my case the lessons ore two fold.
One, wear a proper helmet don't be cheap its not worth it and two,
learn to ride from a pro your might have a friend who could give
you some pointers but you will only take on his or her bad habits.
I may sound like I am preaching to you, and maybe I am, but it may
be the thing that saves you from what Roys family and friends
went through.
